A New Feeder

A New Feeder for our Birds

My activities are limited for a time so Gary bought me a new feeder to watch and enjoy.  The purple finches are enjoying it too.

The first visitors were woodpeckers and chickadees.

Funny how those squirrely little buggers sit there, waiting for what the birds miss! My sister in law and her partner have birdhouses galore in their backyard, including two hummingbird feeders. Thanks for this - makes me feel warm all over! Peace, Amy

Methinks Gary paid a visit to Duane the Birdman...I love his feeders; they are very bird-friendly.

Thanks Sharp Little Pencil. I'm happy you enjoyed the photos of our new feeder. It has been a pleasure watching all the varied birds eating each day. I wouldn't mind feeding the squirrels too but they're such piggies; they want it all.

Hi Deborah,

Yes, Gary bought the feeder from Dwayne Biggar at the Moncton Farmer's Market last week. We're enjoying watching all the birds it attracts. Gary finally had to put a baffle on the feeder pole to keep the numbers of squirrels down. They just latch onto the feeder and eat, until it's empty. And the birds won't approach, with a squirrel hanging off the feeder.
