The crow's voice sounds clear
in the cold. A pigeon lies
 dead on the snow.

Thanks, Jane. It is a mystery as I didn't actually see what happened and was drawn to the scene only after the crows began gathering in the trees and cawing the news. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks Juliet, it remains a mystery since I didn't see what happened, just noticed the dead pigeon when I heard all the crows fussing.
