Last of May

Though spring was late this year, the yard has, at last, leafed in.  And, when our yard leafs in, we are surrounded by walls of green, closing us off from neighbours, in a cozy, friendly way.  We are wrapped in nature; rapt in nature, too.  It feels so good.

I love the yellow chair, to go with the yellow flowers. Is that forsythia? It's been so long since I've seen forsythia, I've forgotten what it looks like when it begins to leaf. All I get to see these days are early stems in the grocery store, with just the blooms.

Your yard is gorgeous. Our spring has departed all too quickly, and the heat is rising. It makes your photos are the more appealing.

I know what you mean by 'the surrounding walls of green' we have it to, love it.
Beautiful shots!

Thank you both for your lovely comments. Yes, the shrub is forsythia. We had a very heavy winter so it bloomed extra well this spring from the additional melt water.
