I have had a flock of 40-60 common redpolls most of the winter and I have 5 thistle feeders with 10 perches each.. Unreal....I hope they head back to Canada soon...Michelle

I have to fill all my feeders with thistle seed every day to keep up with them. And there are three other neighbours who also feed them. Sometimes, the air is full of wings. Thinking of you Michelle.

Hi. I heard a noise at our feeder yesterday and turned around to see one little redpoll scraping around in the leaves for seeds. He let me get quite close. Jane

The redpolls swarm our yard and the trees and shrubs are full of their sounds and wings. It's quite something to see. Interesting that the redpoll let you get close, Jane.
