A hearty Ring Neck Pheasant desiring to eat cracked corn, comes into our yard and chases the younger males and several small females away before he begins snacking. He, who is largest, lunches first.
The cats are fascinated with this live show of robins, pheasants and ducks during their daily meal times.
Our cats are always kept indoors, so there is no danger to any birds from them. Birdy TV is their favourite pastime; they love to watch, chattering away though the windows and to each other.
We are all lucky to have such an entertaining view!
All photos are mine.

cats ----funny !!! w.
Watching the ducks and other birds travelling through our yard is their winter entertainment. They spent much time seriously studying the outdoor activities.
I think robins and thrushes do get drunk on the fermenting berries...
Sweet photos of your cats!
The robins did act as though they were tipsy. It was great fun watching them! Thanks for the comment on the cats; we love them too.
Carol, You have the luckiest cats in the world... what a treat.. i'd be doing exactly what your cat is doing.. when I saw the one looking out the window I wanted to grab my paintbrush and try painting him/her.
We have a good time watching our cats watching the birds. When you have the luxury of watching nature do what it does, everything is fascinating.
Hi. You have a variety of birds... I love the pheasant! I guess all cats are dedicated bird-watchers! Jane
These photos are just gorgeous. That pheasant looks good enough to eat!

The cats likely think the pheasant looks good enough to eat too. That's why they're never outside! They have to enjoy the birds from the other side of the window.
