Life
has a strange way
of falling
through the sublime
into the wayward frenzy
of a ball rolling down
a rough channel.
Always
after robust attack,
it will settle.
Life.

Will you accept mutual envy? I've never done well on pill ball machines, but really admire anyone who does. They always remind me of the rock opera "Tommy" and that song about The Pinball Wizard. Really, really like how easily you made the wordle words into an extended metaphor about life as a pinball machine. Fantastic! And so true,
Elizabeth
very cool take on these words Carol ... something completely different from anything else I've read ... excellent
thanks for stopping by my blog, by the way - appreciate it!
Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for liking my pinball machine / life metaphor. I was happy with it too. I thought your wordle was fascinating, tight and well done.
Hi S.E. Ingraham,
Thanks for your comments. I liked the way yours ended too, "nothing to do but play it out."
The art of the pin ball machine...That was in another life. My hubby was/is very good with the older machines. Once about thirty odd years ago while visiting the New Jersey shore we actually found a very old five cent pin ball machine.
Nice use of the worlde list.

Lovely metaphor... so creative!
Thank you Laurie. I liked your wordle with all the suppositions of "one might think."
Thanks for the visit and for the comment. You weave quite a story with the wordle.
Like Elizabeth i thought of Pinball Wizard too...
You handled this in a beautiful manner, the pin ball machine and life! I love the idea you could put life and all it's adventures into that machine....
I love what you did with the words! Fantastic write.
Thank you Mama Zen.
Thank you Annell,
I found it interesting to try to weave a metaphor which connected life and a pin ball machine into one poem. Twas fun.
Thank you CGP.
Hi. You do very well at building a poem from given words. This one is so true... after the wild game, there has to be peace... Jane
Yes, like Elizabeth, this, too, reminds me of Tommy, Pinball Wizard and Elton John!
Well done! I love to see how your mind plays with the words.
Thanks Deborah,
