Carrying Spring

Carrying Spring

Crocus,
bright petals,
you come bearing gifts;
cups full of sunshine
spill over
with spring.

Beautiful thoughts Carol. It is on its way.

Thanks Gwen. The snow in our yard is nearly gone, just some hanging about in the sheltered corners. I hope that there is no more to fall this spring.

what lovely crocuses! It's definitely spring here now, warm and sunny, the flowers are blooming and the birds are singing. Hope it's soon really spring with you too!

Carol, with all the sadness of the past week, this came as a breath of fresh air. A reminder that spring is a few steps away...

Thanks for stopping by and commenting at my blog, too! Peace, Amy

Hi CGP,

It is raining now, washing away the last of the snow. Green tips and leaves and grass are racing to sprout. Spring is happening.

Hello Amy,

I thought your poem captured so well the pain and fear of this last week. I just didn't want to focus on negative things any more. It is finally spring and new starts are better places for me to concentrate.

Hi Carol. We had several bunches of crocuses this year, including four I don't remember ever planting. I think the squirrels must move them and then forget where they put them. Your poem is lovely. Jane

Thanks Jane. The squirrels move the crocus bulbs each year and the squills as well. Spring is full of surprises and flowers everywhere.
